...ELEVATED RISK FOR RIP CURRENTS THIS WEEKEND...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHEAST FLORIDA...
SOUTHEAST GEORGIA AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

BREEZY NORTHEASTERLY WINDS AND OCCASIONAL ROUGH SURF WILL COMBINE
TO CREATE A MODERATE RISK OF RIP CURRENTS AT AREA BEACHES.

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE OVER NORTHEAST FLORIDA THIS
AFTERNOON.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...

PERSISTENT ONSHORE WINDS AND EASTERLY OCEAN SWELL CREATE AN ELEVATED
RISK OF RIP CURRENTS AT AREA BEACHES THIS WEEKEND AND NEXT WEEK.

THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS MAINLY OVER NORTHEAST FLORIDA
ON SATURDAY WITH A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED OVER MOST OF
THE REGION SUNDAY. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MAY BECOME MORE
LIKELY MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS THE
MAIN THREAT AT THIS TIME.

A TROPICAL DISTURBANCE IS PROJECTED TO APPROACH SOUTHERN FLORIDA
LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER
INDICATES THIS SYSTEM MAY DEVELOP INTO A TROPICAL CYCLONE THROUGH
NEXT WEEK. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT RESIDENTS REMAIN AWARE OF THE
LATEST FORECASTS OF THIS SYSTEM AS IT MOVES WEST NORTHWEST TO
NORTHWEST NEXT WEEK INTO THE EASTERN GULF OF MEXICO.
