THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSONVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHEASTERN GLYNN COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN GEORGIA...

* UNTIL 1145 PM EDT

* AT 948 PM EDT...EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTED FLOODING RAINFALL
  IMPACTED ST SIMONS ISLAND THIS EVENING. NUMEROUS STREETS IN THE
  CITY INCLUDING PORTIONS OF MALLORY WERE FLOODED AS WELL AS
  PORTIONS OF ST SIMONS VILLAGE. THE AUTOMATED RAIN GAGE AT THE
  MCKINNON AIRPORT MEASURED OVER 4 INCHES OF RAINFALL WITHIN HOURS.
  THIS AMOUNT OF RAINFALL COMBINED WITH HIGH TIDE HAS CAUSED POOR
  DRAINAGE WITHIN THE CITY...AND FLOODING PROBLEMS WILL LIKELY
  CONTINUE FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  BRUNSWICK...ST. SIMONS ISLAND...JEKYLL ISLAND AND SEA ISLAND.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO
HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO
FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

SCATTERED STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS SE GA THROUGH THE REMAINDER
OF THE EVENING HOURS. SCATTERED STORMS WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE ALONG
AND WEST OF THE I-75 CORRIDOR OVERNIGHT. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL
BE THE MAIN CONCERN.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND STORMS ARE EXPECTED EACH
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND FREQUENT
LIGHTNING ARE THE MAIN CONCERNS.
