THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING.

DISCUSSION...

A LINGERING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TO THE WEST IS KEEPING AMPLE
MOISTURE ACROSS THE STATE TODAY. THIS MOISTURE WILL COMBINE WITH
INCREASING INSTABILITY FROM DAYTIME HEATING...RESULTING IN
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. THE MAIN CONCERN WILL BE
HEAVY RAINFALL...AND POSSIBLE FLASH FLOODING IN AREAS THAT HAVE
SLOW MOVING STORMS OR STORMS TRAINING OVER THE SAME LOCATIONS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...

FOR THURSDAY...A FRONT WILL PUSH THROUGH THE STATE...WITH
WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH THE DAY. HEAVY
RAINFALL IS THE MAIN CONCERN. A FEW STORMS MAY BE STRONG BUT NO
SEVERE STORMS ARE EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

ALTHOUGH STORM CHANCES GENERALLY DECREASE ACROSS THE AREA FRIDAY
AND SATURDAY...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS RETURN BY SUNDAY.

FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY...A SECOND STRONGER FRONT LOOKS TO PUSH
ACROSS THE AREA MONDAY...WITH A BETTER CHANCE FOR STRONG AND
POSSIBLY SEVERE STORMS. CHANCES LOOK TO BE ON THE DECREASE BEHIND
THE FRONT FOR TUESDAY...THOUGH MUCH CAN STILL CHANGE WITH THE STRENGTH
AND TIMING OF THIS SYSTEM. PLEASE CONTINUE TO MONITOR FUTURE
UPDATES IN THE FORECAST.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT REQUESTED BUT SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED
TO SUBMIT REPORTS OF SEVERE WEATHER THROUGH THE WEB BY GOING TO
WEATHER.GOV/ATLANTA.
