THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

THE COMBINATION OF A COLD AIRMASS IN PLACE AND A SERIES OF UPPER
LEVEL DISTURBANCES WILL BRING THE POTENTIAL OF WINTRY WEATHER TO
PORTIONS OF NORTH GEORGIA LATE TONIGHT INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK.

A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW IS POSSIBLE OVERNIGHT IN THE HIGHER
ELEVATIONS OF NORTH GEORGIA. NO ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED.
HOWEVER...A FEW SLICK SPOTS DUE TO BLACK ICE ON ELEVATED SURFACES
SUCH AS BRIDGES OR OVERPASSES IS POSSIBLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...

ANY RAIN OR RAIN/SNOW MIX MONDAY MORNING IS EXPECTED TO CHANGE
OVER TO ALL SNOW BY LATE MONDAY AFTERNOON ACROSS NORTHERN GEORGIA.
THE LIGHT SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT/EARLY WEDNESDAY
MORNING. THE HIGHEST ACCUMULATIONS OF SNOW ARE STILL EXPECTED
ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS OF NORTHEAST GEORGIA. IN THE LOWER ELEVATIONS
OF NORTH GEORGIA...ONLY LIGHT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED. ALONG
A LINE FROM ROME TO ATLANTA TO ATHENS...FLURRIES WITH NO
ACCUMULATIONS ARE ANTICIPATED AT THIS TIME.

ANY LINGERING MOISTURE ON THE ROADWAYS MAY LEAD TO THE FORMATION
OF BLACK ICE AS FAR SOUTH AS THE ATLANTA METRO AREA MONDAY AND
TUESDAY NIGHTS.

PLEASE MONITOR FOR UPDATES FROM THIS OFFICE OR LOCAL NEWS OUTLETS
THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK.

  Wayne Counties
  Altamaha River At Charlotteville affecting Jeff Davis...Montgomery
  and Toombs Counties
  Altamaha River At Everett City affecting Glynn...McIntosh and
  Wayne Counties

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

All persons with interest along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts...And be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property. Do not drive cars through flooded areas. If you
see flood waters...Remember to turn around and do not drown.

  The Altamaha River At Baxley.
* until further notice...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  1:45 AM Sunday the stage was 78.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 74.5 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 78.1 feet by this
  morning. Additional rises may be possible thereafter.
* Impact...At 78.0 feet...Water begins to affect homes in the Carter
  Bight and Davis Landing area.
* Impact...At 74.5 feet...Minor flooding of timber and agricultural
  land can be expected.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Altamaha River At Charlotteville.
* until further notice...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  1:45 AM Sunday the stage was 15.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 16.1 feet by
  Thursday evening then begin falling.
* Impact...At 16.0 feet...Minor flooding expands into the woodlands
  along the river upstream and downstream from the gage on the U.S.
  Highway 221 bridge. The water will be one to two feet deep over
  portions of Towns Bluff Lane by the bridge. Flood waters continue
  to expand further into south Montgomery County around 1.5 miles
  upstream from the gage. The water will be 2 to 4 feet over large
  portions of Three Rivers Lane...Altamaha River Road and Ogle
  Sandbar Road.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet...Minor flooding continues in the woodlands
  along the river upstream and downstream from the gage on the U.S.
  Highway 221 bridge. The water covers the low portion and entrance
  of Towns Bluff Lane by the bridge. The public boat ramp is under
  two feet of water. Flood waters expand further into south
  Montgomery County around 1.5 miles upstream from the gage. The
  water will be one to two feet deep over portions of Three Rivers
  Lane...Altamaha River Road and Ogle Sandbar Road.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet...Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding
  occurs in the woodlands along the river upstream and downstream
  from the gage on the U.S. Highway 221 bridge. The water reaches the
  top of the public boat ramp by the bridge. Flood waters expand in
  low lying areas in south Montgomery County around 1.5 miles
  upstream from the gage. The water will begin to cover portions of
  Three Rivers Lane...Altamaha River Road and Ogle Sandbar Road.
* Impact...At 11.0 feet...Bankfull conditions occur along the river
  upstream and downstream from the gage on the U.S. Highway 221
  bridge. Some flooding begins in low lying areas around 1.5 miles
  upstream from the gage in south Montgomery County. The water will
  approach portions of Three Rivers Lane...Altamaha River Road and
  Ogle Sandbar Road.
