WILL MOVE TOWARD THE NORTH NORTHWEST AT 5 TO 10 MPH. SOME OF
THESE SHOWERS COULD AFFECT THE EAST COAST METRO AREAS. THESE
SHOWERS COULD PRODUCE MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL OVER THE NEXT
COUPLE OF HOURS.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THUNDERSTORMS: SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS ARE IN THE
FORECAST ACROSS SOUTH FLORIDA, WITH THE GREATEST COVERAGE ACROSS
INTERIOR SECTIONS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. FREQUENT LIGHTNING
AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL BE THE PRIMARY THREATS. BRIEF WIND
GUSTS TO NEAR 40 MPH ARE ALSO POSSIBLE WITH THE STRONGEST STORMS.

FLOODING: SLOW MOVEMENT OF THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS MAY LEAD TO
FLOODING OF ROADWAYS AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.

TEMPERATURES: HIGHEST HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL RANGE FROM 100 TO
104 DEGREES ACROSS INTERIOR SECTIONS OF SOUTH FLORIDA DURING THE
MIDDAY AND EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE DURING THE
AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, PARTICULARLY
ACROSS INTERIOR SECTIONS OF SOUTH FLORIDA. THE GREATEST THREATS
WILL BE FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL LEADING TO
A PERIOD OF FLOODING OF ROADWAYS AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO BE IN THE FORECAST,
MAINLY DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS, FROM SUNDAY THROUGH
WEDNESDAY.

HIGHEST HEAT INDEX TEMPERATURES EACH AFTERNOON SUNDAY THROUGH
TUESDAY MAY EXCEED 105 DEGREES ACROSS INTERIOR AND WESTERN
SECTIONS OF SOUTH FLORIDA.

WINDS OF 15 TO 20 KNOTS WITH HIGHER GUSTS IN THE OFFSHORE ATLANTIC
WATERS SATURDAY NIGHT AND EARLY SUNDAY MAY POSE A HAZARD TO SMALL
CRAFT OPERATORS.
