SOUTHEAST GEORGIA AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

HEAVY RAINFALL SHOULD BE EXPECTED WITH SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
THROUGH TONIGHT. BEST CHANCE TO SEE HEAVY RAINFALL AND FLOODING
WILL BE IN THE SUWANNEE VALLEY AREA FROM I-75 WESTWARD.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...

SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND STORMS ARE EXPECTED EACH
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND FREQUENT
LIGHTNING ARE THE MAIN CONCERNS.

.SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE NORTHEAST FROM
THE GULF INTO INLAND PORTIONS OF NORTH FLORIDA. SLOW MOVING
STORMS COMBINED WITH HIGH RAIN RATES COULD RESULT IN FLOODING
THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING. IN GENERAL...AROUND 2 INCHES OF ADDITIONAL
RAINFALL IS EXPECTED FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY
MORNING...WITH ISOLATED POCKETS OF HIGHER AMOUNTS.

THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* A PORTION OF NORTHERN FLORIDA...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
  ALACHUA...COLUMBIA...GILCHRIST...HAMILTON...MARION AND ...
  SUWANNEE.

* THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING

* LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL OF SEVERAL INCHES OVER ALREADY SATURATED
  GROUND.

* TRAINING OF STORMS WILL MAKE LONG DURATIONS OF MODERATE TO
  HEAVY RAINFALL POSSIBLE. ALREADY SATURATED SOILS MEANS MOST
  RAINFALL WILL NOT HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE ABSORBED INTO THE
  GROUND. EXPECT PONDING OF WATER IN LOW LYING AREAS AND AREAS
  PRONE TO FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE
FLOOD WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE
PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.
