THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHEAST FLORIDA...
SOUTHEAST GEORGIA AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT...

WIDESPREAD SHOWERS WITH ISOLATED STORMS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL
AROUND MIDNIGHT. THERE HAVE BEEN REPORTS OF FLOODING JUST SOUTHWEST
OF GAINESVILLE TOWARDS INTERSTATE 75 WHERE THERE WAS CLOSE TO 5
INCHES OF RAIN. THESE RAINS WILL SUBSIDE BUT FLOODING WILL CONTINUE
FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.

SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR OUTER WATERS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...

LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING WILL BE POSSIBLE
EACH AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

  NORTHEASTERN ALACHUA COUNTY IN NORTHERN FLORIDA...

* UNTIL 315 AM EDT

* AT 107 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING
  HEAVY RAIN WHICH WILL CAUSE FLOODING. 3 TO 6 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE
  FALLEN SINCE MONDAY AFTERNOON.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  ALACHUA...WALDO AND LA CROSSE.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE
WARNED AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...AS WELL AS FARM AND COUNTRY ROADS. DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO
HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO
FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR MINOR FLOODING IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS FOR...
  NORTHERN ALACHUA COUNTY IN NORTHERN FLORIDA...

* UNTIL 215 AM EDT

* AT 1246 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING. OVERFLOWING POOR
  DRAINAGE AREAS WILL RESULT IN MINOR FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY AREA.
  2 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN OVER THE PAST 12 HOURS.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  ALACHUA...HIGH SPRINGS...ORANGE HEIGHTS...WALDO AND LA CROSSE.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF 1 TO 2 INCHES IS EXPECTED OVER THE AREA. THIS
ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL MAKE MINOR FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
