SOUTHEAST GEORGIA AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL DEVELOP NEAR THE COAST DURING THE
MORNING AND SPREAD INLAND IN THE AFTERNOON. THE BEST COVERAGE OF
STORMS WILL BE INLAND TOWARDS INTERSTATE 75 BY MID TO LATE
AFTERNOON. THE PRIMARY IMPACTS WILL BE FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND
LIGHTNING AND GUSTY WINDS. IN ADDITION...DUE TO SLOW STORM
MOTION...LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL UP TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR WILL BE
LIKELY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...

AN ELEVATED RISK FOR RIP CURRENTS IS EXPECTED SUNDAY DUE TO AN
ONSHORE FLOW AND A DEVELOPING LONG PERIOD SWELL.

SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND STORMS ARE FORECAST EACH DAY.
THE BEST COVERAGE OF STORMS WILL BE ACROSS THE INLAND AREAS
DURING THE AFTERNOON. CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY
RAINFALL WILL BE THE PRIMARY IMPACTS.

AT 1142 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS
ALONG A LINE ROUGHLY EXTENDING FROM NEAR PICOLATA TO NEAR SAN
MATEO...AND MOVING WEST AT 15 TO 20 MPH.

FREQUENT TO EXCESSIVE CLOUD-TO-GROUND LIGHTNING CAN BE EXPECTED
ALONG WITH GUSTY WINDS TO 40 MPH. POSTPONE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
PROMPTLY. GO QUICKLY INSIDE A COMPLETELY ENCLOSED BUILDING. UNPLUG
ELECTRONIC DEVICES AND APPLIANCES AS THEY ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO POWER
SURGES AND MAY BE DAMAGED BY NEARBY LIGHTNING STRIKES.
