THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS
THIS AFTERNOON. THE PRIMARY THREATS FROM ANY STORMS THAT DEVELOP
ARE...LIGHTNING...LOCALIZED WIND GUSTS TO 50MPH...AND PEA SIZED
HAIL.

SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE HIGHER PEAKS ABOVE 10000
FEET TONIGHT...WITH LOCAL ACCUMULATIONS OF AN INCH OR TWO POSSIBLE
ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE EASTERN SAN JUAN AND LA GARITA
MOUNTAINS...AND THE EASTERN SAWATCH AND WESTERN MOSQUITO RANGES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY ACROSS THE
REGION. THE STRONGER AND MORE NUMEROUS STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ON
SATURDAY. THE MAIN THREAT FROM STRONGER STORMS WILL BE HAIL UP TO
1/2 INCH IN DIAMETER...AND WIND GUSTS TO 50 MPH. ALL STORMS WILL
PRODUCE DANGEROUS CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

SNOW LEVELS THROUGH THE WEEKEND WILL REMAIN AROUND OR ABOVE 10000
FEET. LOCAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE
ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN ABOVE 10000 FEET THROUGH THE WEEKEND.

BELOW 10000 FEET...PRECIPITATION WILL FALL AS RAIN. INSTABILITY
APPEARS TO BE ON THE LOWER SIDE OF THE SPECTRUM WITH THIS SYSTEM
WHICH WOULD TEND TO KEEP RAINFALL RATES GENERALLY BELOW .20 AN
HOUR. HOWEVER...IF SUFFICIENT AFTERNOON HEATING OCCURS...A FEW
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE WHICH COULD PRODUCE LOCALLY
HEAVY RAIN...ESPECIALLY SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. ANY
LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN FALLING ON THE SUSCEPTIBLE BURN SCARS...SUCH AS
THE WALDO...COULD CAUSE FLASH FLOODING.

METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS FOR EXTREME FIRE BEHAVIOR ARE EXPECTED
TO OCCUR ON WEDNESDAY.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

WEATHER CONDITIONS THAT MEET REPORTING CRITERIA FOR SPOTTERS WILL
BE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST AND
CENTRAL MOUNTAINS.
