THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED AGAIN TODAY.
PRIMARY STORM THREATS WILL BE LIGHTNING...WIND GUSTS TO AROUND 50
MPH AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. THE THREAT FOR SEVERE WEATHER IS
RATHER LOW TODAY DUE TO A LACK OF WIND SHEAR IN THE ATMOSPHERE.

LIGHT STEERING WINDS SHOULD RESULT IN LITTLE OR NO STORM MOVEMENT
DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS TODAY.  THIS EVENING...STEERING WINDS
WILL BECOME EAST TO SOUTHEASTERLY...PUSHING ANY STORMS WESTWARD
INTO THE MOUNTAINS.

THE FIRST STORMS OF THE DAY SHOULD GO UP AROUND NOON...WITH MOST
ACTIVITY ENDING BY MIDNIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP IN AND NEAR THE MOUNTAINS
EACH DAY DURING THE PERIOD. THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL INCREASE FOR
THE SOUTHEAST PLAINS FRIDAY AND CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY. ANY
THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOP WILL PRODUCE LIGHTNING...GUSTY WINDS
AND SMALL HAIL. THERE WILL BE A BETTER CHANCE OF HAIL AROUND AN
INCH IN DIAMETER AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS ON THE PLAINS SATURDAY...
SUNDAY AND MONDAY.

DEVELOPING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS 10 MILES SOUTH OF NATHROP AND
NEAR GUFFEY...OR 40 MILES WEST OF COLORADO SPRINGS...MOVING EAST AT
10 MPH.

HALF INCH HAIL AND WINDS IN EXCESS OF 40 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH
THE STRONGER STORMS.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
CRIPPLE CREEK...VICTOR...WAUGH MOUNTAIN AND NATHROP.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THESE
STORMS. LIGHTNING CAN STRIKE 15 MILES AWAY FROM A THUNDERSTORM. SEEK
A SAFE SHELTER INSIDE A BUILDING OR VEHICLE.

STORMS MAY INTENSIFY...SO BE CERTAIN TO MONITOR LOCAL RADIO AND TV
STATIONS...AS WELL AS LOCAL CABLE TV OUTLETS...FOR ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.
