THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL...SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

ISOLATED LIGHT SHOWERS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT
HOURS...MAINLY OVER AND NEAR THE HIGHER TERRAIN.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

THE RISK FOR HEAVY RAINFALL AND FLASH FLOODING WILL CONTINUE
TOMORROW THROUGH THE REST OF THE WORK WEEK. SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS
THUNDERSTORMS WILL OCCUR OVER THE MOUNTAINS EACH AFTERNOON...WITH
STORMS SPREADING ACROSS THE ADJACENT HIGH VALLEYS AND PLAINS
THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS. AS STORMS MOVE INTO THE I-25 CORRIDOR
AND SOUTHEAST PLAINS...THEY MAY BRIEFLY BECOME SEVERE WITH THE
RISK FOR ONE INCH DIAMETER HAIL...AND WIND GUSTS UP TO 60
MPH...ALONG WITH CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. THESE COULD MERGE INTO
THUNDERSTORM COMPLEXES...WHICH COULD BRING HEAVY RAINFALL TO
PORTIONS OF THE SOUTHEAST PLAINS. THE RISK OF FLASH FLOODING WILL
BE HIGHEST TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT. WITH THE
POTENTIAL FOR A MULTI-DAY RAINFALL EPISODE...IT IS POSSIBLE THAT
PORTIONS OF THE ARKANSAS AND PURGATORIE RIVERS...ALONG WITH THEIR
TRIBUTARY CREEKS AND STREAMS MAY EXPERIENCE FLOODING AT TIMES.

LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE ALONG AND NEAR THE
CONTINENTAL DIVIDE...BUT THE RISK FOR FLASH FLOODING MAY NOT BE AS
GREAT COMPARED TO THE SOUTHEAST MOUNTAINS AND PLAINS.

AREA BURN SCARS...URBAN AREAS...AND STEEP TERRAIN WILL BE MOST
VULNERABLE TO THE FLASH FLOOD RISK.

...FLASH FLOODING IS ALSO POSSIBLE TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
TUESDAY EVENING...FOR ALL OF THE MOUNTAINS...AND SOUTHEAST
PLAINS...

.MONSOON MOISTURE WILL REMAIN IN PLACE ACROSS THE REGION TUESDAY.
THIS MOISTURE WILL COMBINE WITH MOIST LOW LEVEL EASTERLY UPSLOPE
FLOW TO PRODUCE NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SOUTH
CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
STORMS WILL BE SLOW MOVING AND CAPABLE OF PRODUCING VERY HEAVY
RAINFALL. BURN SCARS AND URBAN AREAS WILL BE HIGHLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO
FLASH FLOODING.

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF CENTRAL COLORADO...EAST CENTRAL COLORADO...SOUTH
  CENTRAL COLORADO AND SOUTHEAST COLORADO...INCLUDING THE
  FOLLOWING AREAS...IN CENTRAL COLORADO...EASTERN SAWATCH
  RANGE...MOSQUITO RANGE AND UPPER ARKANSAS RIVER VALLEY. IN EAST
  CENTRAL COLORADO...EL PASO COUNTY AND TELLER COUNTY AND THE
  RAMPART RANGE. IN SOUTH CENTRAL COLORADO...EASTERN SAN JUAN
  MOUNTAINS...FREMONT COUNTY...LA GARITA MOUNTAINS AND UPPER RIO
  GRANDE VALLEY. IN SOUTHEAST COLORADO...BACA COUNTY... BENT

* FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING

* MONSOON MOISTURE WILL REMAIN OVER SOUTHEAST COLORADO TUESDAY.
  AT THE SURFACE...EASTERLY UPSLOPE FLOW WILL ENHANCE THUNDERSTORM
  DEVELOPMENT OVER THE MOUNTAINS. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS WILL
  DEVELOP OVER THE PLAINS THROUGH THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING
  HOURS. THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE SLOW MOVING WITH RAINFALL RATES OF
  UP TO TWO INCHES PER HOUR.

* FLOODING OF URBAN AREAS...CREEKS...ARROYOS AND NORMALLY DRY
  WASHES WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. HEAVY
  RAINFALL ON BURN SCARS MAY RESULT IN DANGEROUS MUD AND ASH
  FLOWS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
