  ...THOUGH THERE WILL BE LULLS IN ACTIVITY. THE BEST PERIODS FOR
  SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL WILL BE TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY EVENING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...1 TO 2 FEET THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON WITH
  THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS EXPECTED ALONG SOUTHWEST FACING SLOPES.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH.

* VISIBILITY...RESTRICTED AT TIMES IN SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL IS EXPECTED TO BECOME DIFFICULT OR IMPOSSIBLE
  THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE
EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS AND BLOWING SNOW ARE ALSO

COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER.

...AVALANCHE WATCH FOR THE ELK MOUNTAINS INCLUDING AREAS AROUND
ASPEN AND MARBLE...

THE COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER HAS ISSUED AN AVALANCHE
WATCH FOR THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AREA AROUND ASPEN AND MARBLE. A
STRONG WINTER STORM WILL IMPACT THE AREA THROUGH MONDAY. AVALANCHE
DANGER WILL INCREASE RAPIDLY AS SNOW ACCUMULATES AND DRIFTS.
BACKCOUNTRY AVALANCHE CONDITIONS COULD BECOME VERY DANGEROUS BY
MONDAY AFTERNOON. TRAVEL IN OR BELOW AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT
RECOMMENDED.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EASTERN UTAH AND WESTERN
COLORADO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CONTINUE TODAY AND TONIGHT IN ALL THE
MOUNTAINS...WITH A RAIN SNOW MIX TO THE VALLEYS. HEAVY SNOWFALL
ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED IN THE MOUNTAINS AND THE SOUTHERN
VALLEYS. MANY WINTER WEATHER HIGHLIGHTS HAVE BEEN ISSUED FOR THIS
STORM.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

PRECIPITATION WILL CONTINUE THROUGH WEDNESDAY WITH 2 TO 4 FEET OF
SNOW POSSIBLE FOR THE SAN JUANS AND 1 TO 2 FEET OF SNOW IN CENTRAL
AND NORTHERN MOUNTAINS. SOUTHERN VALLEYS WILL ALSO  SEE HEAVY
SNOWFALL. A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH TUESDAY BRINGING
MUCH COLDER TEMPERATURES TO THE REGION BEFORE WARMING UP TOWARDS
THE END OF THE WEEK.

THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL MOUNTAINS WILL HAVE ANOTHER CHANCE OF
SNOW SATURDAY.
