LARGE NORTHWEST SWELL WILL IMPACT THE NORTH BAY COAST BEGINNING
FRIDAY AFTERNOON. WAVES OF 15 TO 18 FEET WITH A PERIOD OF 18
SECONDS ARE EXPECTED...ALONG WITH OCCASIONAL BREAKERS OVER 20
FEET.

.LARGE NORTHWEST SWELL WILL IMPACT THE NORTH BAY COAST FRIDAY
AFTERNOON CONTINUING THROUGH SATURDAY. THE SURF WILL BE LARGEST
NORTH OF POINT REYES. THE LARGE SWELL WILL GRADUALLY DECAY
SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO SATURDAY NIGHT.

TO 3 PM PST SATURDAY...

* WAVES AND SURF...NORTHWEST SWELL OF 15 TO 18 FEET WITH A
  PERIOD OF 18 SECONDS. OCCASIONAL BREAKERS OVER 20 FEET WILL BE
  POSSIBLE.

* TIMING...FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...LARGE BREAKING WAVES ALONG THE COAST WILL LIKELY
  PRODUCE HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS ON THE BEACH AND SURF ZONE...
  ESPECIALLY NORTHWEST FACING BEACHES. THERE WILL ALSO BE AN
  INCREASED LIKELIHOOD FOR DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS AND BEACH
  EROSION.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO FISH OR OBSERVE WAVES FROM EXPOSED
COASTAL STRUCTURES OR ROCKS DURING HIGH SURF CONDITIONS. VERY
LARGE WAVES CAN SUDDENLY SWEEP ACROSS PREVIOUSLY DRY AREAS.
SWIMMING OR SURFING IN THESE WAVES MAY BE DANGEROUS FOR ANYONE.

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF WILL AFFECT BEACHES IN
THE ADVISORY AREA...PRODUCING RIP CURRENTS AND LOCALIZED BEACH
EROSION.
