...STRONG AND GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS CONTINUING THROUGH SUNDAY
MORNING...

.STRONG SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE GREAT BASIN WILL CONTINUE
TO CREATE PERIODS OF STRONG AND GUSTY NORTHEASTERLY WINDS FOR
MOUNTAIN RIDGES...PASSES...CANYONS...COASTAL MOUNTAIN SLOPES AND
INTO ADJACENT FOOTHILL AREAS THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING. WINDS WILL
DECREASE SOME OVER THE NORTHERN AREAS TONIGHT INTO SUNDAY
MORNING...BUT STILL STRONG IN SOME AREAS...SO A WIND ADVISORY
WILL REPLACE HAS REPLACED THE HIGH WIND WARNING FOR THOSE
LOCATIONS. WINDS WILL WEAKEN FOR THE SOUTHERN AREAS...INCLUDING
SAN DIEGO AND RIVERSIDE COUNTIES...BY SUNDAY EVENING.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN DIEGO HAS CANCELLED THE HIGH
WIND WARNING.

* WINDS...AREAS OF NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH WITH
  GUSTS 40 TO 50 MPH...WITH ISOLATED GUSTS TO 60 MPH POSSIBLE IN
  THE MOST FAVORED SPOTS...THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.

* TIMING...WINDS WEAKENING AND LESS WIDESPREAD LATE TONIGHT INTO
  SUNDAY MORNING...BUT STILL STRONG IN SOME SPOTS. WINDS WEAKENING
  FURTHER LATER SUNDAY.

* LOCATION...THROUGH AND BELOW MOUNTAIN PASSES AND CANYONS...
  ALONG RIDGE-TOPS...COASTAL MOUNTAIN SLOPES AND INTO ADJACENT
  FOOTHILL AREAS. LOCATIONS WITHIN AND BELOW THE CAJON PASS AND
  SAN GORGONIO PASS...INCLUDING INTERSTATES 10 AND 15.

* IMPACTS...THE WINDS WILL MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY
  FOR MOTORISTS WITH HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. WATCH FOR BROKEN
  TREE LIMBS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS
THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
