...HIGH SURF AND STRONG RIP CURRENTS TODAY...

.LARGE SWELL FROM TROPICAL STORM MARIE WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE
LARGE SURF...STRONG RIP CURRENTS AND STRONG LONGSHORE CURRENTS
TODAY. MINOR COASTAL FLOODING IS POSSIBLE IN ORANGE COUNTY DURING
HIGH TIDE.

SURF FROM 6 TO 8 FEET IS FORECAST AT THE ORANGE COUNTY BEACHES
WITH OCCASIONALLY LARGER SETS OF 10 FEET. EVEN HIGHER SURF WILL
BREAK AT THE WEDGE.

SURF HEIGHTS WILL BE GENERALLY LESS THAN 7 FEET IN SAN DIEGO
COUNTY. HOWEVER...RIP CURRENTS AND LONGSHORE CURRENTS WILL BE
PARTICULARLY STRONG.

THE SURF WILL CONTINUE TO SUBSIDE GRADUALLY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM PDT FRIDAY...

* SURF AND TIMING...TODAY...6 TO 8 FEET WITH LOCAL SETS TO 10 FEET.

* COASTAL FLOODING POTENTIAL...MINOR COASTAL FLOODING IS POSSIBLE
  IN ORANGE COUNTY AROUND HIGH TIDE AT 11 AM.

* IMPACTS...HIGH SURF MAY DAMAGE PIERS AND OTHER STRUCTURES...AND
  MAY CAUSE BEACH EROSION. DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS AND LONGSHORE
  CURRENTS WILL CREATE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SWIMMING AND SURFING
  CONDITIONS. LARGER WAVES CAN APPEAR UNEXPECTEDLY AND WASH OVER
  ROCKS AND JETTIES NEAR THE WATERS EDGE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF WILL AFFECT BEACHES IN
THE ADVISORY AREA...PRODUCING RIP CURRENTS AND LOCALIZED BEACH
EROSION.
