SEAFARING CONDITIONS FOR VESSELS OPERATING IN THE OUTER WATERS.
HAZARDOUS SURF WILL AFFECT MOST AREA BEACHES TODAY.

...DENSE FOG FOR PORTIONS OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY COAST THROUGH
MID MORNING...

.GUSTY NORTHERLY WINDS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS PORTIONS OF SANTA
BARBARA COUNTY...EASTERN VENTURA COUNTY AND WESTERN LOS ANGELES
COUNTY THIS MORNING. WIND GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH WILL BE COMMON
ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA...WITH LOCAL GUSTS OF 60 MPH OR GREATER
IN THE MOUNTAINS. WINDS WILL SHIFT TO A MORE NORTHEASTERLY
DIRECTION TONIGHT...AND BECOME MORE WIDESPREAD ACROSS VENTURA AND
LOS ANGELES COUNTIES. STRONG AND GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS WILL BEGIN
TO DIMINISH IN MOST AREA MONDAY AFTERNOON...BUT REMAIN LOCALLY

AFTERNOON...

* SURF...SURF OF 7 TO 10 FEET TODAY WILL SUBSIDE TO 5 TO 8 FEET
  LATER THIS AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...LARGE WAVES AND STRONG RIP CURRENTS WILL INCREASE
  THE RISK OF OCEAN DROWNING. SNEAKER WAVES CAN SUDDENLY WASH
  PEOPLE OFF OF BEACHES AND ROCK JETTIES. MINOR BEACH EROSION IS
  POSSIBLE.

* LOCATIONS...SURF WILL BE HIGHEST ON EXPOSED WEST FACING
  BEACHES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF AND RIP CURRENTS WILL
MAKE SWIMMING AND ROCK JETTIES DANGEROUS.

REMEMBER...IF CAUGHT IN A RIP CURRENT...SWIM PARALLEL TO SHORE
UNTIL YOU ARE FREE OF THE POWERFUL CURRENT. ALWAYS SWIM NEAR A
LIFEGUARD.
