...GUSTY WINDS EXPECTED ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA
THROUGH AT LEAST MONDAY...

.STRONG WEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE ANTELOPE VALLEY
TONIGHT. THERE WILL LIKELY BE SOME BLOWING DUST AND SAND... WITH
VISIBILITIES LOCALLY DOWN TO ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.
WINDS WILL BEGIN TO DIMINISH IN THE ANTELOPE VALLEY LATE TONIGHT.

A DEVELOPING STRONG NORTH TO SOUTH PRESSURE GRADIENT BEHIND A
FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO BRING GUSTY NORTHWEST TO NORTH
WINDS TO THE SANTA BARBARA COUNTY MOUNTAINS AND ADJACENT SOUTH
COAST...AND THROUGH THE INTERSTATE 5 CORRIDOR TONIGHT. GUSTY
NORTH WINDS WILL LIKELY SPREAD INTO THE SANTA CLARITA AND SAN
FERNANDO VALLEYS AND THE SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS TONIGHT...AND TO
EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE VENTURA COUNTY VALLEYS EARLY SUNDAY
MORNING. THERE IS A CHANCE THAT GUSTY NORTH WINDS WILL ALSO
DEVELOP BELOW PASSES AND CANYONS FROM MALIBU TO THE HOLLYWOOD
HILLS.

THE WINDS WILL SHIFT TO A MORE NORTHEASTERLY DIRECTION SUNDAY
MORNING. THIS SHOULD ALLOW WINDS TO DIMINISH ACROSS SANTA BARBARA
COUNTY. GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS WILL AFFECT MUCH OF LOS ANGELES AND
VENTURA COUNTIES SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON...WITH A
POSSIBLE LULL IN THE WINDS LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS WILL IMPACT THE SOUTH SANTA BARBARA
COAST LATE TONIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING WHICH WILL ALSO CREATE
CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS. GUSTY WEST WINDS WILL AFFECT THE
ANTELOPE VALLEY THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT CAUSING LOWERED
VISIBILITY DUE TO BLOWING SAND AND DUST ACROSS ROADWAYS. NORTH WINDS
WILL INCREASE ACROSS THE I-5 CORRIDOR THIS EVENING AND SPREAD INTO
THE SANTA CLARITA AND SAN FERNANDO VALLEYS TONIGHT. BY EARLY SUNDAY
MORNING WINDS WILL SHIFT TO THE NORTHEAST AND A MODERATE SANTA ANA
WIND EVENT WILL BEGIN FOR THE USUAL WIND PRONE AREAS OF LOS ANGELES
AND VENTURA COUNTIES. BEACHGOERS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT TO A HIGH RIP
CURRENT RISK TODAY.
