THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHWEST CALIFORNIA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

A WIND ADVISORY IS CURRENTLY IN EFFECT FOR STRONG GUSTY WINDS
LATE TONIGHT.

AN APPROACHING POTENT COLD FRONT WILL BRING STRONG GUSTY SOUTHERLY
WINDS AND PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN TO THE REGION TONIGHT INTO
SATURDAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

A WIND ADVISORY IS CURRENTLY IN EFFECT.

STRONG GUSTY WINDS WILL CONTINUE INTO SATURDAY MORNING. A POST
FRONTAL TROUGH WILL BRING THE THREAT OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS TO
THE REGION ON SATURDAY WITH THE POTENTIAL OF SMALL
HAIL...OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING AND GUSTY ERRATIC WINDS.

.A POTENT PACIFIC STORM WILL BRING VERY STRONG WINDS TO NW
CALIFORNIA TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT.
PEAK WINDS WILL OCCUR OVER THE COASTAL MOUNTAINS WITH ISOLATED
GUSTS POTENTIALLY REACHING AS HIGH AS 65 MPH. WINDS WILL TAPER
QUICKLY LATE SATURDAY MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON AS THE COLD FRONT
PASSES.

* TIMING...EARLY SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON.

* WINDS...SUSTAINED SOUTHERLY WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BE BETWEEN
  20 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS AS HIGH AS 45 MPH. THE HIGHEST
  MOUNTAIN PEAKS AND COASTAL AREAS SUCH AS TRINIDAD AND CRESCENT
  CITY MAY GUST TO 50 MPH OR HIGHER.

* IMPACTS...THESE WINDS WILL CAUSE BRANCHES TO FALL FROM TREES...
  LIKELY TOPPLING SOME TREES...AND CREATE SOME POWER OUTAGES.
  WINDS WILL ALSO CAUSE DIFFICULTY DRIVING...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
  PROFILE VEHICLES. STRONG GUSTS MAY CAUSE FENCES TO BLOW DOWN AND
  CAUSE OBJECTS SUCH AS LAWN FURNITURE OR GARBAGE CANS TO BLOW
  AWAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS
THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
