...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH
THURSDAY AFTERNOON...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TUCSON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR A PORTION OF SOUTHEAST ARIZONA...
  INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...SOUTH CENTRAL PINAL COUNTY...
  SOUTHEAST PINAL COUNTY...UPPER GILA RIVER VALLEY...WESTERN
  PIMA COUNTY AND WHITE MOUNTAINS OF GRAHAM AND GREENLEE
  COUNTIES.

* FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON

* AN INITIAL PERIOD OF RAIN ASSOCIATED WITH THE OUTER BAND OF
  HURRICANE ODILE WILL PASS THROUGH THE AREA TONIGHT INTO EARLY
  TUESDAY. THEREAFTER...THE TIMING OF THE ADDITIONAL PERIODS OF
  RAIN WILL BE LESS CERTAIN UNTIL LATE WEDNESDAY MORNING INTO THURSDAY
  WHEN THE BULK OF THE HEAVY RAINFALL CAN BE ANTICIPATED. RAINFALL
  AMOUNTS WILL VARY WIDELY ACROSS THE AREA...BUT THE HEAVIEST
  RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL TOTAL 2 TO 4 INCHES BY LATE THURSDAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS ARE BECOMING FAVORABLE
FOR WIDESPREAD FLASH FLOODING TO DEVELOP. MONITOR FORECASTS
CLOSELY AND BE READY TO TAKE QUICK ACTION IF FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS
ARE ISSUED.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT
QUICKLY. TURN AROUND AND TAKE ANOTHER ROUTE.

STATIONS...OR YOUR CABLE TELEVISION PROVIDER FOR UPDATES ON THIS
FLASH FLOOD THREAT.
