THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL ARIZONA AND WEST CENTRAL ARIZONA...
  INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN NORTH CENTRAL ARIZONA...
  COCONINO PLATEAU...GRAND CANYON COUNTRY...KAIBAB PLATEAU AND
  MARBLE AND GLEN CANYONS. IN WEST CENTRAL ARIZONA...OAK CREEK
  AND SYCAMORE CANYONS...WESTERN MOGOLLON RIM AND YAVAPAI COUNTY
  MOUNTAINS.

* UNTIL 9 PM MST THIS EVENING

* AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVING THROUGH WESTERN ARIZONA WILL
  COMBINE WITH MONSOON MOISTURE TO GENERATE HEAVY RAIN PRODUCING
  THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING ACROSS WESTERN COCONINO
  COUNTY AND THE YAVAPAI COUNTY MOUNTAINS.

* AREAS OF PARTICULAR CONCERN ARE CATARACT CANYON AND SUPAI... THE
  GRAND CANYON...AND THE SLIDE FIRE SCAR IN OAK CREEK CANYON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT DEVELOPING CONDITIONS MAY LEAD TO
FLASH FLOODING WITHIN THE WATCH AREA. PEOPLE...ESPECIALLY THOSE
LOCATED ALONG AREA CREEKS...RIVERS OR OTHER FLASH FLOOD PRONE
AREAS...SHOULD CONTINUE TO MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE
PREPARED TO TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

DEEP...MOIST...AND UNSTABLE SOUTHERLY FLOW WILL LEAD TO ANOTHER
ACTIVE DAY ACROSS NORTHERN ARIZONA WITH SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
THOUGH HEAVY RAINFALL IS A THREAT FROM ANY OF THESE STORMS...THE
BEST POTENTIAL FOR EXCESSIVE RAIN AND FLASH FLOODING WILL BE ACROSS
NORTHWESTERN ARIZONA WHERE A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT
THROUGH THIS EVENING. PLEASE SEE PHXFFAFGZ FOR DETAILS. OTHER
STORM THREATS TODAY INCLUDE CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING...HAIL...AND
OUTFLOW WIND GUSTS. STORMS SHOULD DECREASE AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.
