THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR APACHE...COCONINO...
NORTHERN GILA...NAVAJO...AND YAVAPAI COUNTIES IN NORTHERN
ARIZONA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS NORTHERN
ARIZONA TODAY. EXPECT SEVERAL HOURS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN AND
SNOW WITH HAZARDOUS WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS AND ACCUMULATING
ABOVE 6000 FEET. ALTHOUGH SNOW LEVELS WILL START OUT RELATIVELY
HIGH...THEY WILL FALL QUICKLY TO 5500-6000 FEET BEHIND THE FRONT.
THE FRONT WILL REACH WESTERN YAVAPAI AND COCONINO COUNTIES THIS
MORNING...THE I-17 CORRIDOR BY LATE MORNING...AND EASTERN ARIZONA
THIS AFTERNOON. STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS ALONG THE FRONT WILL CAUSE
AREAS BLOWING SNOW AND VERY POOR VISIBILITIES. THE STRONGEST WINDS
WILL OCCUR AHEAD OF THE FRONT ACROSS NORTHEASTERN ARIZONA TODAY
WHERE A WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH (SEE
PHXNPWFGZ FOR DETAILS). A VARIETY OF WINTER WEATHER PRODUCTS ARE
IN EFFECT TODAY...PLEASE SEE PHXWSWFGZ FOR DETAILS.

COLDER AND DRIER AIR WILL MOVE INTO ARIZONA MONDAY NIGHT AND
TUESDAY...WITH LINGERING SNOW SHOWERS OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN. SOME
OF THE HEAVIER SHOWERS MAY PRODUCE ADDITIONAL LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS
THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

TO 7 PM MST THIS EVENING ABOVE 6000 FEET...

* TIMING...PRECIPITATION WILL INCREASE THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING
  HOURS WITH RAIN EXPECTED TO CHANGE OVER TO SNOW BY LATE MORNING
  WHEN A COLD FRONT ARRIVES. PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOW WILL CONTINUE
  THROUGH THIS EVENING BEFORE DECREASING.

* GENERAL EVENT TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 10 INCHES ABOVE
  6000 FEET ELEVATION WITH AMOUNTS OVER A FOOT ABOVE 8500 FEET.

  DRAINAGE EARLY THIS MORNING...WITH STEADY RAINFALL DEVELOPING
  FROM AROUND 8 AM THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
  AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 1.5 INCHES ARE EXPECTED TODAY. HIGH FLOWS WILL

SPRINGS AND CORNVILLE AREAS TO BECOME IMPASSABLE AT TIMES DUE TO
FLUCTUATIONS IN THE CREEK LEVEL ALONG OAK CREEK.

LIVE STOCK AND TRAILERS NEAR OAK CREEK...MAY NEED TO BE MOVE TO
