THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST
ARIZONA...CALIFORNIA AND SOUTHERN NEVADA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING OUT OF CALIFORNIA INTO NEVADA WILL
BRING WIDESPREAD STRONG WINDS TO THE AREA TUESDAY INTO TUESDAY
NIGHT. A HIGH WIND WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE EASTERN SIERRA
SLOPES AND OWENS VALLEY WHERE GUSTS TO 70 MPH ARE POSSIBLE DUE TO
STRONG DOWNSLOPE WINDS. A WIND ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE REST
OF SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA...SOUTHERN NEVADA AND NORTHWEST ARIZONA
WHERE GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH WILL BE COMMON.

LIGHTER WINDS ARE EXPECTED WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. IT LOOKS LIKE
ANOTHER VIGOROUS LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL IMPACT THE AREA FRIDAY
THROUGH SATURDAY. STRONG WINDS ARE THE MAIN CONCERN FRIDAY WITH COOL
AND POSSIBLE WET CONDITIONS FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY. THERE IS
STILL SOME UNCERTAINTY REGARDING TIMING...TRACK AND STRENGTH OF THIS
SYSTEM HOWEVER.

ADVISORY FOR SOUTHERN NEVADA...NORTHWEST ARIZONA AND MUCH OF
SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM PDT /9 AM MST/
TO 9 PM PDT /9 PM MST/ TUESDAY.

* WINDS: SOUTHWEST TO WEST 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS 40 TO 50. WINDS
  ABOVE 7000 FEET MAY GUST TO 65 MPH.

* TIMING: MUCH OF THE DAY TUESDAY INTO TUESDAY EVENING...ALTHOUGH
  THE STRONG WINDS MAY NOT DEVELOP UNTIL AFTER NOON ACROSS SOUTHEAST
  SAN BERNARDINO AND SOUTHWEST MOHAVE COUNTIES.

* LOCATIONS: SOUTHERN NEVADA...NORTHWEST ARIZONA AND SOUTHEAST
  CALIFORNIA.

* IMPACTS: WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY
  FOR MOTORCYCLES AND HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. IN ADDITION...STRONG
  WINDS OVER DESERT AREAS COULD RESULT IN BRIEFLY LOWERED
  VISIBILITIES TO WELL UNDER A MILE AT TIMES IN BLOWING DUST OR
  BLOWING SAND. USE EXTRA CAUTION.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT CROSSWINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BE STRONG
ENOUGH TO MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE
