Lock and Dam...

.Heavy rainfall of 2 to 5 inches has occurred over the past few days
 over the Black Warrior Basin...
and a flood warning remains in effect for the Black Warrior River
At Selden Lock and Dam.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.  Turn Around...Don`t Drown.

Another statement will be issued by Monday morning...or sooner if
conditions warrant.

Warning continues for
  The Black Warrior River At Selden Lock and Dam.
* until Thursday afternoon...or until the Warning is cancelled.
* At 9:15 AM Sunday the stage Was 90.1 feet.
* Flood Stage is 90.0 feet.
* Minor Flooding is occurring and Minor Flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 92.9 feet by
  early Tuesday morning. The river will fall below Flood Stage early
  Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 90.0 feet...Pasture and wood lands begin to flood.
  Livestock should be moved to higher ground at stages above 90 feet.

* At 9:15 AM Sunday the stage was 63.0 feet.
* Flood Stage is 68.0 feet.
* Minor Flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above Flood Stage by tomorrow early afternoon  and
  continue to rise to near 69.9 feet by early Tuesday afternoon. The
  river will fall below Flood Stage by Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 68.0 feet...Flooding of lowlands in the area occurs and
  cattle should be moved to higher ground.

* At 9:00 AM Sunday The stage was 118.7 feet.
* Flood Stage is 122.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to near Flood Stage
  tomorrow early afternoon.
* Impact...At 122.0 feet...Cattle in low-lying areas of Southern
  Pickens County should be moved to higher ground. Cattle are cutoff
  in lowlands of Southern Pickens County at stages above 122 feet.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE COUNTIES SERVED BY THE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE IN BIRMINGHAM.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

THERE WILL BE SEVERAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR STRONG TO SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS CENTRAL ALABAMA TODAY.

THIS MORNING THROUGH 10 AM...A FEW THUNDERSTORMS MAY GROW STRONG
ENOUGH TO PRODUCE WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH OR ONE INCH HAIL. WHILE
THE THREAT EXISTS ACROSS ALL OF CENTRAL ALABAMA...THERE IS A
SLIGHTLY HIGHER THREAT IN THE SOUTH HALF.

FROM AROUND NOON TODAY TO 8 PM THIS EVENING...THERE IS ANOTHER
CHANCE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS ALL OF CENTRAL ALABAMA. WIND
GUSTS UP TO 70 MPH AND HAIL UP TO GOLF BALL SIZE ARE POSSIBLE
DURING THIS TIME FRAME.

THE FINAL SEVERE WEATHER THREAT WILL BE FROM AROUND MIDNIGHT
TONIGHT TO 7 AM MONDAY MORNING. WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH AND HAIL UP
TO GOLF BALL SIZE ARE POSSIBLE. ADDITIONALLY...THERE IS A SMALL
THREAT OF TORNADOES AS WELL. THE THREAT INCLUDES ALL OF CENTRAL
ALABAMA...ALTHOUGH THERE IS A SLIGHTLY HIGHER THREAT IN THE NORTH
HALF.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

MINOR RIVER FLOODING IS POSSIBLE ALONG PORTIONS OF THE TOMBIGBEE
AND BLACK WARRIOR RIVER BASINS BEGINNING MONDAY AND LASTING AS
LONG AS WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

ACTIVATION OF STORM SPOTTERS AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT MAY BE
NEEDED TODAY AND TONIGHT DUE TO THE TRHEAT OF SEVERE STORMS.
