...The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a hydrologic statement for the following rivers...

Mississippi River affecting Winfield LD25...Grafton

.This hydrologic statement is based on excessive rainfall that fell the last three days upstream.

Safety message: Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles through flooded areas. The water may be too deep to allow for safe passage.

The Mississippi River at Winfield LD25 * from Friday morning until further notice. * At 12 PM Saturday the stage was 24.5 feet. * Minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 26.0 feet. * The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by Friday morning and crest near 28.5 feet by Sunday morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter. * At 29.0 feet... Route 96 at Mozier Landing closes.

The Mississippi River at Grafton * from early Sunday morning until further notice. * At 12 PM Saturday the stage was 16.9 feet. * Minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 18.0 feet. * The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by late Friday night until further notice * At 18.0 feet... Flood Stage. Right bank begins to overflow... flooding farmland.
