Daily River Forecast

Past 24 hour precipitation... A trace to a few hundredths of an inch of liquid equivalent of snow fell across the basins.

Forecast precipitation for the next 48 hours... Basin average rainfall and/or liquid equivalent of snow is forecast to range from 0.75 to 1.50 inches.

River trends... Rises are expected along the Cheat, Monongahela and Upper Ohio rivers over the next 48 hours in response to the forecast rainfall and snow melt. A River Flood Watch has been issued for Charleroi and Elizabeth on the Monongahela River and for Rowlesburg on the Cheat River in response to the flood potential.

Many gauges in the Allegheny, Muskingum, Cheat and Youghiogheny River basins are affected by ice and may not reflect current conditions.

River forecasts reflect river conditions without river ice influences.
