DAILY RIVER AND LAKE SUMMARY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON OH 1006 AM EDT MON SEP 19 2016

Effective September 7,2016, daily river forecasts will be issued for the Licking River in Kentucky at Catawba, downstream of Falmouth, KY. This is in close coordination with the Ohio River Forecast Center, The Kentucky U.S. Geological Survey and Pendleton County Emergency Management.

Flood Warning Services NOT be available for Catawba, but will remain with the river gage point in Falmouth, since this is the historic and more locally referenceable forecast point location. The Catawba forecast services will be utilized by Pendleton County officials and the general public to view flood potential scenarios via new flood inundation mapping services which will become available from the Kentucky U.S Geological Survey in early October.
