The process for generating these the KML/KMZ files on the fly is a joint
project between the National Weather Service Southern Region Headquarters,
National Weather Service Office in El Paso, Texas and the Arkansas-Basin River
Forecast Center.
Keith Stellman (Performance Evaluation Meteorologist, SRH)
and Ken Pavelle developed the technique to integrate the RIDGE images and
world files into the KML format on the fly. Keith also integrated the national
and regional sector images into the format.
Ken Pavelle (Hydrologist, Office of Hydrologic Development) developed the technique for zipping the files into a KMZ and with Keith, integrated the script into the webpage.
Corey Pieper(Meteorologist, ELP) Re-wrote much of the original php script to allow for more radar choices/options as well as integrating an auto-update feature within the KML.
