...SUMMARY OF FLOOD PRODUCTS AS OF EARLY FRIDAY AFTERNOON...

FLOOD WARNINGS REMAIN IN THE SOURIS RIVER BASIN FOR THE SOURIS
RIVER NEAR TOWNER...BANTRY...AND WESTHOPE...ALONG WITH WILLOW
CREEK NEAR WILLOW CITY.

RECENT RAINS IN THE SOURIS RIVER BASIN OF NORTH DAKOTA HAVE NOT PRODUCED
MUCH RUNOFF EVEN THOUGH RUNOFF IN THE SASKATCHEWAN PORTION OF THE SOURIS
RIVER BASIN REMAINS SOMEWHAT ELEVATED FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. REGARDLESS...
SOURIS RIVER FORECAST POINTS CURRENTLY ABOVE FLOOD STAGE REMAIN IN A SLOW
BUT STEADY DOWNWARD TREND. THE SOURIS RIVER NEAR TOWNER AND BANTRY WILL
FALL TO FLOOD STAGE AROUND TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY WHILE THE SOURIS RIVER
NEAR WESTHOPE WILL CONTINUE TO FALL BUT REMAIN ABOVE FLOOD STAGE UNTIL
SOMETIME PAST THE FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST. ELSEWHERE...WILLOW CREEK NEAR
WILLOW CITY CONTINUES ITS VERY SLOW FALL FROM RECENT HIGHS AND WILL REMAIN
ABOVE FLOOD STAGE UNTIL SOME TIME IN EARLY AUGUST. WITH ONLY MODEST
AMOUNTS OF RAIN IN THE FORECAST FOR THE COMING WEEK...THERE APPEARS TO BE
NO SIGNIFICANT RISK OF RETURNING TO RECENT HIGH WATER MARKS.
