...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

IN 1957...AN F4 TORNADO POSSESSING A TRACK 15 MILES LONG
AND AROUND 300 YARDS WIDE...ROARED ACROSS PART OF EXTREME
SOUTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS.  TWO PEOPLE WERE KILLED AND 9
WERE INJURED.  FIVE HOMES WERE DESTROYED WHILE A FEW
OTHERS WERE COMPLETELY SWEPT FROM THEIR FOUNDATIONS.  IN
1967...NATURE PULLED A COLOSSAL SNOW JOB ON
FLAGSTAFF...AZ WHERE...AFTER 1 WEEK OF SNOW...THE TOWN
WAS BURIED UNDER NEARLY 7 FEET OF SNOW...83 INCHES TO BE
MORE EXACT.  ON 3 DAYS...THE 13TH...14TH AND
19TH...FLAGSTAFF RECEIVED BETWEEN 15 AND 27 INCHES.
