IN 1943...THE MERCURY SOARED TO 121 DEGREES AT TISHOMINGO
OKLAHOMA TO SET THE ALL TIME RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR
OKLAHOMA.  IN 1987...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS RAGED FROM
WISCONSIN AND ILLINOIS TO MAINE AND NEW JERSEY.  MCHENRY
COUNTY ILLINOIS...LOCATED ALONG THE ILLINOIS/WISCONSIN
BORDER...WAS RAVAGED BY 2 INCH HAIL.  IN NORTHWEST NEW
JERSEY...90 MPH WINDS WERE ROARING THROUGH BLAIRSTOWN
WHEN THE ANEMOMETER BROKE.  MEANWHILE...70 MPH WINDS
ROARED THROUGH PARTS OF MAINE.

&&

IN 1960...SALT LAKE CITY SET AN ALL TIME RECORD HIGH OF
107 DEGREES.
