...A FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 AM HST FOR THE
ISLAND OF KAUAI IN KAUAI COUNTY...

AT 1110 PM HST...RADAR SHOWED PERSISTENT MODERATE TO HEAVY SHOWERS
OVER THE NORTH AND NORTHEAST FACING SLOPES OF KAUAI...FROM KOKEE TO
THE NA PALI COAST TO HANALEI TO KAPAHI. A RAIN GAGE NEAR KOKEE HAS
RECEIVED OVER THREE INCHES OF RAIN IN THE LAST SEVERAL HOURS...WITH
RAIN FALLING AT RATES BETWEEN ONE AND TWO INCHES PER HOUR. STEADY
RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE...AND WATER LEVELS IN AREA STREAMS
WILL RISE...ESPECIALLY IN STREAMS ALONG THE NORTH AND EAST SIDE OF
THE ISLAND.

LOCATIONS IN THE ADVISORY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO HAENA...
WAINIHA...HANALEI...WAIMEA CANYON...AND THE NA PALI STATE PARK...
INCLUDING HANAKAPIAI...HANAKOA AND KALALAU VALLEYS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

STAY AWAY FROM STREAMS...DRAINAGE DITCHES AND LOW LYING AREAS PRONE
TO FLOODING. DO NOT CROSS FAST FLOWING OR RISING WATER IN YOUR
VEHICLE OR ON FOOT. TURN AROUND...DON/T DROWN.
