URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...ELEVATION WET SNOW THIS MORNING...

.LOW PRESSURE ALONG THE CAROLINA COAST WILL MOVE NORTHEAST PASSING
OFF THE VIRGINIA CAPES THIS AFTERNOON...AND EAST OF THE MID
ATLANTIC COAST THIS EVENING. THIS WILL RESULT IN A GRADUAL
TRANSITION FROM RAIN TO WET SNOW ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS EARLY THIS
MORNING...WITH SNOW LEVELS LOWERING TO MANY OF THE MOUNTAIN
VALLEY LOCATIONS. A SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATION OF WET SNOW IS
POSSIBLE IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS...WITH LESSER TOTALS ACROSS THE
VALLEYS.

THERE IS STILL UNCERTAINTY IN TERMS OF THE TIMING AND DEGREE OF
COLD AIR...AND SNOW AMOUNTS WILL BE HIGHLY VARIABLE ACROSS IN THE
REGION...BUT MAXIMUM AMOUNTS COULD RANGE FROM 3 TO 6 INCHES IN
SOME LOCATIONS.
