THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
  AVERY COUNTY IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA...

* UNTIL 730 PM EDT

* AT 644 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
  SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. THIS STORM WAS
  LOCATED 8 MILES WEST OF BEECH MOUNTAIN...AND MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 40
  MPH.

* THIS STORM WILL IMPACT LOCATIONS NEAR...
  ELK PARK
  BANNER ELK AND NEWLAND.
  SEVEN DEVILS.
  LINVILLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A TORNADO IS LIKELY DEVELOPING. ABANDON MOBILE HOMES. SEEK IMMEDIATE
SHELTER IN AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST LEVEL OF A HOUSE OR OFFICE
BUILDING. PLACE AS MANY FLOORS AND WALLS BETWEEN YOU AND THE OUTSIDE
AS POSSIBLE.
