THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CARIBOU MAINE HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHWESTERN PENOBSCOT COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MAINE...
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...NEWPORT...DEXTER...
  SOUTHERN PISCATAQUIS COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL MAINE...
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...GUILFORD...GREENVILLE...
  DOVER-FOXCROFT...BROWNVILLE JUNCTION...

* UNTIL 1030 PM EDT

* AT 921 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
  LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS IN
  EXCESS OF 60 MPH.  THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING
  FROM 13 MILES SOUTHWEST OF BLANCHARD TO 18 MILES SOUTH OF
  NEWPORT...OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 19 MILES WEST OF GUILFORD
  TO THORNDIKE...AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 50 MPH.

* OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
  MONSON...EAST CORINTH AND MILO.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

PLEASE REPORT SEVERE WEATHER BY CONTACTING YOUR NEAREST LAW
ENFORCEMENT AGENCY AND ASK THEM TO RELAY YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL
WEATHER SERVICE FORECAST OFFICE.
