THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SHREVEPORT HAS ISSUED A SIGNIFICANT
WEATHER ADVISORY...EFFECTIVE UNTIL 930 PM CDT...FOR THE FOLLOWING
COUNTY...

IN NORTHEAST TEXAS...
     SMITH...

INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
     CARROLL...

AT 834 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS WERE
DETECTING A STRONG THUNDERSTORM 2 MILES EAST OF GRAND SALINE NEAR
THE VAN ZANDT...SMITH COUNTY LINE...OR 8 MILES WEST OF
MINEOLA...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH. THIS STORM WILL AFFECT MAINLY
RURAL AREAS OF WESTERN SMITH COUNTY WEST OF LINDALE...INCLUDING THE
HIDEAWAY COMMUNITY.

HALF INCH TO NICKEL SIZE HAIL...AND WINDS AROUND 40 MPH ARE EXPECTED
WITH THIS STORM. SHOULD THIS STORM INTENSIFY...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING WILL BE NEEDED.
