PUTNAM...ROCKLAND AND WESTCHESTER COUNTIES...

AT 517 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM NEWBURGH TO WEST
POINT TO MONROE...MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH.

THESE STORMS WILL BE...
  NEAR NEWBURGH BY 525 PM.
  NEAR WEST POINT BY 530 PM.
  NEAR COLD SPRING BY 535 PM.
  NEAR POMONA BY 540 PM.
  NEAR PEEKSKILL BY 550 PM.
  NEAR HAVERSTRAW BY 555 PM.

SMALL HAIL...BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOURS...AND WINDS UP TO 40 MPH ARE
EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS.

LIGHTNING IS ONE OF NATURES NUMBER ONE KILLERS. REMEMBER...IF YOU CAN
HEAR THUNDER...YOU ARE CLOSE ENOUGH TO BE STRUCK BY LIGHTNING. MOVE
TO SAFE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
