CUMBERLAND-CLARK-EFFINGHAM-JASPER-CRAWFORD-CLAY-RICHLAND-LAWRENCE-
INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...EFFINGHAM...FLORA...LAWRENCEVILLE
205 AM CDT TUE SEP 30 2014

...PATCHY DENSE FOG POSSIBLE OVERNIGHT...

CALM WINDS...RELATIVELY CLEAR SKIES AND COOL TEMPERATURES WILL
SET THE STAGE FOR FOG DEVELOPMENT ACROSS PORTIONS OF EAST CENTRAL
AND SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS OVERNIGHT.

THE PRIMARY TIME PERIOD FOR DENSE FOG LOOKS TO BE FROM 3 AM CDT
TO 7 AM CDT.

LOCATIONS SOUTHEAST OF INTERSTATE 70 WILL HAVE THE BEST CHANCES
FOR DENSE FOG...ESPECIALLY COMMUNITIES IN LOW LYING AREAS NEAR
RIVERS AND LAKES. CONDITIONS WILL BE MONITORED TO SEE IF THE DENSE
FOG BECOMES WIDESPREAD...PROMPTING THE NEED FOR A DENSE FOG
ADVISORY.

FOR THOSE TRAVELING LATE TONIGHT...ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR
DESTINATION...ESPECIALLY IF YOUR ROUTE TAKES YOU THROUGH FOG PRONE
AREAS. KEEP PLENTY OF DISTANCE BETWEEN YOURSELF AND OTHER DRIVERS
AND UTILIZE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS OR FOG LIGHTS ON YOUR VEHICLE.

THE FOG SHOULD QUICKLY LIFT AND DISSIPATE WITHIN AN HOUR OR SO
AFTER SUNRISE...OR BETWEEN 7 AM AND 8 AM.
