...FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR TODAY...

BLUSTERY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE TODAY WITH SUSTAINED FLOW
AROUND 25 MPH AND GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH.

THE GUSTY WINDS COMBINED WITH VERY DRY AIR BUILDING ACROSS THE
REGION AND RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES FALLING TO 15 TO 25 PERCENT
WILL RESULT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
FAVORABLE FOR FIRE SPREAD.

A RED FLAG WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR NORTHERN CONNECTICUT...BUT
ELSEWHERE LIGHT SURFACE FUELS WILL BE SLOW TO RECOVER DUE TO
RECENT RAINFALL WHICH LIMIT THE FIRE WEATHER RISK.

WE WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE SITUATION AS IT DEVELOPS
TODAY...UPDATING AS NECESSARY.
