...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT FOR A BAND OF HEAVY SNOW...

AT 1155 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING
A BAND OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW ACROSS NORTHEAST LOWER MICHIGAN.
THIS BAND OF SNOW WAS LOCATED FROM ALPENA COUNTY TO OGEMAW AND
GLADWIN COUNTIES...AND MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH.

THIS BAND OF SNOW WILL DROP VISIBILITIES TO A HALF OF A MILE AND
BRING A QUICK INCH TO AN INCH AND A HALF OF SNOW. ROADS WILL BECOME
SLICK AND HAZARDOUS.

THE HEAVY SNOWS WILL BE NEAR...

SKIDWAY LAKE AND ALGER AROUND 1210 AM EDT.
HALE AROUND 1215 AM EDT.
PRESCOTT AROUND 1220 AM EDT.
NEGWEGON STATE PARK...RHODES...LINCOLN AND BLACK RIVER AROUND 1225 AM
EDT.
PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP...WHITTEMORE...STERLING...SID TOWN AND MAPLE
RIDGE AROUND 1230 AM EDT.
STANDISH AROUND 1240 AM EDT.

THIS BAND OF SNOW WILL EXIT NORTHEAST LOWER BETWEEN 130 AM AND 2 AM.
LIGHTER SNOWS WILL CONTINUE OVERNIGHT...BUT DIE OFF BY DAYBREAK.
