  COASTAL WATERS EAST OF IPSWICH BAY AND THE STELLWAGEN BANK NATIONAL
  MARINE SANCTUARY...
  MASSACHUSETTS BAY AND IPSWICH BAY...
  OCEAN WATERS FROM THE MERRIMACK RIVER TO PLYMOUTH FROM 40 TO 60 NM
  OFFSHORE...

* UNTIL 915 AM EDT

* AT 814 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM...
  CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS TO NEARLY 50 KNOTS...LOCATED 16 NM
  SOUTHEAST OF JEFFREYS LEDGE BUOY 44098...MOVING WEST AT 40 KNOTS.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
  THATCHER ISLAND...PLUM ISLAND...IPSWICH BAY...THE COASTAL WATERS
  EAST OF CAPE ANN...JEFFREYS LEDGE BUOY 44098...SANDY BAY AND ESSEX
  BAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

THESE STORMS MAY PRODUCE SHORT LIVED WATERSPOUTS...WHICH CAN EASILY
OVERTURN SMALL BOATS AND PRODUCE ROUGH SEAS. SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY.

FREQUENT LIGHTNING WAS OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM. IF CAUGHT ON THE
OPEN WATER STAY BELOW DECK IF POSSIBLE...AND KEEP AWAY FROM
UNGROUNDED METAL OBJECTS.
