WEATHER SUMMARY FOR THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SAN JUAN PR

THE LOCAL ISLANDS WERE GENERALLY DRY TODAY EXCEPT FOR A FEW LIGHT
SHOWERS OVER THE CARIBBEAN OFFSHORE WATERS. SKIES WERE MOSTLY
CLEAR. EASTERLY WIND FLOW AT 10 TO 20 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS WERE
OBSERVED ALONG THE COASTAL LOCATIONS. MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES
GENERALLY RANGED IN THE MID 80S.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO DOMINATE THE LOCAL REGION THROUGH
THE WEEKEND. RESULTING IN MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES FOR THE REST OF
TODAY...ALTHOUGH SCATTERED SHOWERS WILL RETURN IN TRADE WINDS
TONIGHT. THE CHANCE OF SHOWERS WILL INCREASE ON TUESDAY WHEN A
MOISTURE BAND IS EXPECTED TO REACH THE LOCAL AREA.

ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS...WINDS WILL BE 20 KNOTS OR LESS TODAY
WHILE SEAS RANGE FROM 3 TO 6 FEET. THEREFORE...SMALL CRAFT
OPERATORS SHOULD EXERCISE CAUTION.
