WEATHER SUMMARY FOR THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS

SKIES WERE PARTLY CLOUDY ACROSS THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS DURING THE OVERNIGHT
AND MORNING HOURS. FEW PASSING LIGHT SHOWERS WERE NOTED ACROSS THE COASTAL
WATERS...WITH SOME AFFECTING ST. CROIX. WINDS WERE LIGHT AND VARIABLE
WITH FEW BRIEF GUSTS ACCOMPANYING THESE SHOWERS.

SATELLITE OBSERVATIONS SHOWED A DECREASE IN MOISTURE OVER OUR AREA THIS
MORNING. HOWEVER...A SMALL PATCH OF MOISTURE IS EXPECTED TO REACH OUR
LOCAL AREA THIS AFTERNOON BRINGING THE CHANCE FOR ISOLATED TO SCATTERED
SHOWERS ACROSS THE ISLANDS AND ADJACENT WATERS. THE NEXT TROPICAL WAVE
IS FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS THE REGIONAL WATERS ON TUESDAY.

ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS...SEAS OF 4 FEET OR LESS AND WINDS OF LESS
THAN 19 KNOTS CAN BE EXPECTED ON LABOR DAY. SMALL CRAFT SHOULD EXERCISE
CAUTION ACROSS MOST OF THE LOCAL WATERS.
