NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BLACKSBURG VA
1133 AM EST MON FEB 3 2014

...SHARP RISES EXPECTED ON THE GREENBRIER RIVER TODAY AND TONIGHT...

STAGES ALONG THE GREENBRIER RIVER IN GREENBRIER COUNTY WILL BE
RISING QUICKLY DUE TO RUNOFF FROM THE 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN THAT
FELL ACROSS THE BASIN INTO THIS MORNING AND FROM SNOWMELT.

THE RIVER IS EXPECTED TO CREST AT ALDERSON EARLY TUESDAY MORNING
SLIGHTLY BELOW THE MINOR FLOOD STAGE OF 14 FEET.

THIS FORECAST WILL BE UPDATED LATER TODAY AS ADDITIONAL DATA
IS RECEIVED AND ANALYZED.
