SPECIAL RIVER STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RALEIGH,NC
1251 PM EDT THU AUG 14 2014

RECENT UPSTREAM HEAVY RAINS WILL CAUSE NOTICEABLE WITHIN BANK
RISES ON THE NEUSE RIVER AT GOLDSBORO THROUGH THE WEEKEND. THE
RIVER SHOULD RISE TO AT LEAST AROUND 15 FEET BY SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
THIS IS BELOW THE 18-FOOT FLOOD STAGE...BUT INTERESTS ALONG THE
RIVER SHOULD KEEP ABREAST OF THE LATEST RIVER LEVELS. WITH THE
RISING WATER EXPECTED...BE SURE TO AVOID ANY WATER RUNNING HIGH
AND FLOWING FAST.

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE LATEST OBSERVATIONS AND 7AM FORECAST STAGES
FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS...
