...RIVER STATEMENT FOR THE LOWER CAHABA RIVER...

RECENT HEAVY RAINFALL IS CAUSING RISES ON THE LOWER CAHABA RIVER.
HOWEVER...LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN BELOW ESTABLISHED FLOOD
STAGES...AND ANY OVERFLOW ALONG THE RIVER SHOULD BE OF A MINOR NATURE.

THE CAHABA RIVER AT MARION JUNCTION.
 LATEST STAGE:     15.2 FEET AT 8 PM TUESDAY.
 CAUTION STAGE:    15.0 FEET.
 FLOOD STAGE:      36.0 FEET.
 FORECAST:         CREST NEAR 25.0 FEET THURSDAY MORNING
                   AND THEN BEGIN TO FALL.

PLEASE STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR YOUR LOCAL MEDIA FOR LATER
STATEMENTS CONCERNING THIS EVENT.

ANOTHER STATEMENT WILL BE ISSUED WEDNESDAY MORNING...OR SOONER IF
CONDITIONS WARRANT.
