HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GAYLORD MI
1044 AM EST MON NOV 24 2014

FOR THE RIFLE RIVER...THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS ARE INCLUDED: STERLING.

RECENT SNOW MELT COMBINED WITH HEAVY RAINFALL AMOUNTS AROUND ONE
INCH OVERNIGHT WILL LEAD TO CONTINUED RISES ON THE RIFLE RIVER NEAR
STERLING INTO MIDWEEK. CURRENTLY...THE RIVER IS EXPECTED TO CREST
NEAR FLOOD STAGE WEDNESDAY MORNING. HOWEVER...THERE IS SOME
UNCERTAINTY ABOUT JUST HOW HIGH THE STAGE WILL BE...AND IT IS
POSSIBLE RIVER LEVELS WILL FALL JUST SHORT OF THE FLOOD STAGE OF
6 FEET.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GAYLORD WILL CLOSELY MONITOR RIVER
LEVELS THE NEXT 24 HOURS...AND WILL ISSUE ADDITIONAL STATEMENTS OR
WARNINGS AS CONDITIONS WARRANT.
