NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AMARILLO TX

FOR THE CIMARRON RIVER...THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS ARE INCLUDED...
KENTON.

.ONE TO FOUR INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN UPSTREAM OF THE GAGE SITE.
ADDITIONAL RAIN IS EXPECTED. THE RUNOFF FROM THE HEAVY RAIN IS
HAS CAUSED A SIGNIFICANT RISE ON THE RIVER. THE RIVER IS
EXPECTED TO FALL TO AROUND 11.3 FEET BY 7 AM THIS MORNING...AND
TO THEN RISE TO AROUND 11.5 FEET BY 1 AM THURSDAY.
FOR THE CIMARRON RIVER NEAR KENTON.
* LATEST STAGE:               10.3 FEET AT 1215 AM WEDNESDAY.
* FLOOD STAGE:                20.0 FEET.
* BANKFULL STAGE:             11.0 FEET.


CAUTION IS URGED WHEN WALKING NEAR RIVERBANKS.
