BASIN AVERAGE PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS DURING THE PAST 24 HOURS WERE
GENERALLY IN THE ONE HALF TO ONE INCH RANGE. RAINFALL DURING THE
NEXT THREE DAYS WILL BE LIGHT WITH AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO TENTHS OF
AN INCH EXPECTED EACH DAY. AS A RESULT...EXPECT MINOR FLUCTUATIONS
TO GRADUAL RISES ON AREA WATERWAYS THROUGH THE FORECAST PERIOD.

NOTE...THERE WILL BE A PULSE RELEASE FROM GATHRIGHT DAM TOMORROW
MORNING. THIS WILL RESULT IN A RAPID RISE IN WATER LEVELS ALONG
THE JACKSON RIVER AT COVINGTON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...THEN AT POINTS
ALONG THE JAMES RIVER AS THE WATER MOVES DOWNSTREAM DURING THE NEXT
COUPLE OF DAYS. THIS RELEASE WILL CAUSE NO FLOODING.
