SHOWERS BROUGHT LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL TO PARTS OF INTERIOR
SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND LAST NIGHT...ON THE ORDER OF 0.25 TO 0.50
INCH ON AVERAGE BUT LOCALLY AS MUCH AS 1 TO 2 INCHES.

THE LAST OF THESE SHOWERS WILL EXIT THE REGION BY EARLY
AFTERNOON. MORE SHOWERS OVER THE OCEAN SHOULD REACH SOUTHEAST
NEW ENGLAND LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY TONIGHT...MAINLY
FROM CAPE COD AND THE ISLANDS TO NEWPORT AND PLYMOUTH. RAINFALL
TOTALS SHOULD BE LESS THAN 0.25 INCH.

DUE TO THE RECENT STRETCH OF DRY WEATHER...RIVER AND STREAM
LEVELS WILL SHOW LITTLE RESPONSE TO THE RAIN THAT HAS FALLEN
AND WHAT IS EXPECTED TO FALL THROUGH TONIGHT.

SEVERAL DAYS OF DRY WEATHER ARE AHEAD THIS WEEK AS HIGH PRESSURE
BUILDS INTO NEW ENGLAND FROM CANADA.

THESE FORECASTS INCLUDE 24 HOUR PRECIPITATION FOR THE PERIOD ENDING
AT 8 AM TODAY...AND FORECAST PRECIPITATION THROUGH 8 AM TOMORROW.
