...RECORD MONTHLY AND SUMMER RAINFALL IN SIOUX CITY IOWA...

THE AUGUST MONTHLY RAINFALL TOTAL AT THE AIRPORT IN SIOUX CITY WAS
10.12 INCHES. THIS BREAKS THE PREVIOUS MONTHLY RECORD OF 9.07 INCHES
WHICH WAS SET IN 2007.

THE SUMMER RAINFALL...WHICH INCLUDES JUNE...JULY AND AUGUST...WAS
30.38 INCHES AT THE AIRPORT IN SIOUX CITY. THIS BREAKS THE PREVIOUS
SUMMER RECORD OF 20.13 INCHES...WHICH WAS SET IN 2010. THIS SUMMER
ALSO INCLUDED 2 OF THE 4 WETTEST MONTHS SINCE RECORDS BEGAN AT SIOUX
CITY IN 1889. JUNE WAS THE WETTEST MONTH ON RECORD...WITH AUGUST THE
4TH WETTEST.
