NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTHERN INDIANA
413 PM EST THU JAN 1 2015

...RECORD FOR THE LEAST SNOWIEST DECEMBER BROKEN AT SOUTH BEND...

ONLY 0.2 INCHES OF SNOW WAS MEASURED AT SOUTH BEND IN DECEMBER 2014.
THIS SET A NEW RECORD FOR THE LEAST SNOW ON RECORD FOR THE MONTH OF
DECEMBER. THE OLD RECORD WAS 0.5 INCHES SET IN DECEMBER 1912.

WHILE A TRACE OF SNOW FELL ON 10 DAYS...MEASURABLE SNOW FELL ON JUST
ONE SINGLE DAY IN THE MONTH...DECEMBER 30TH.  THIS TIES THE RECORD
FOR THE FEWEST NUMBER OF DAYS WITH MEASURABLE SNOWFALL IN DECEMBER
AT SOUTH BEND. DECEMBER 1912 AND DECEMBER 1931 ALSO BOTH HAD ONLY 1
DAY OF MEASURABLE SNOWFALL.
