...RECORD DAILY MAXIMUM RAINFALL SET AT RIVERTON WY...

 A LARGE UPPER LEVEL LOW BROUGHT WIDESPREAD SHOWERS ACROSS CENTRAL
AND SOUTHERN WYOMING TODAY. A RECORD RAINFALL OF 0.07 INCHES WAS SET
AT RIVERTON WY TODAY. THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 0.06 SET IN
2004. NOTE THE RECORDS FOR THE RIVERTON SITE ONLY DATE BACK TO 1995.

THE RECORD RAINFALL FOR THE COOPERATIVE OBSERVER SITE AT RIVERTON
FOR AUGUST 27 IS 0.55 INCHES...WHICH WAS LAST SET IN 1933.
