0138 AM MDT THU JUL 17 2014

...RECORD DAILY MAXIMUM RAINFALL SET AT RIVERTON WY...

 AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE BROUGHT ISOLATED TO SCATTERED SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS EARLY IN THE MORNING...AND AGAIN DURING THE
AFTERNOON...ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION YESTERDAY. A RECORD RAINFALL
OF 0.02 INCHES WAS SET AT RIVERTON WY YESTERDAY. THIS TIES THE OLD
RECORD OF 0.02 SET IN 1999. NOTE THE PRECIPITATION RECORDS FOR THE
RIVERTON SITE ONLY DATE BACK TO 1995.

THE RECORD DAILY MAXIMUM RAINFALL FOR THE COOPERATIVE OBSERVER SITE
AT RIVERTON FOR JULY 16TH IS 0.26 INCHES...WHICH WAS SET IN 1959.
