...RECORD LOW MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE TO BE SET AT ROCKFORD FOR
SEPTEMBER 12TH...

THE HIGH TEMPERATURE TODAY AT ROCKFORD FRIDAY WAS 53 DEGREES AT 1202
PM CDT...BREAKING THE PREVIOUS RECORD COLDEST HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR
THE DATE WHICH WAS 56 DEGREES BACK IN 1943.  THE 53 DEGREE HIGH ALSO
MARKS THE COLDEST HIGH TEMPERATURE ON RECORD FOR SO EARLY IN THE
FALL SEASON...THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 54 SET JUST A DAY PRIOR ON
THURSDAY...AND PRIOR TO THAT THE COLDEST HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR SO
EARLY IN THE FALL WAS 55 SET BACK ON SEPT 11 1914.
