...RECORD DAILY MAXIMUM RAINFALL SET AT LAKE YELLOWSTONE WY...

 MONSOONAL MOISTURE BROUGHT WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE COWBOY STATE YESTERDAY. A RECORD RAINFALL
OF 0.06 INCHES WAS SET AT LAKE YELLOWSTONE WY YESTERDAY. THIS BREAKS
THE OLD RECORD OF 0.03 SET IN 2013. NOTE THAT RECORDS FOR THE LAKE
YELLOWSTONE SITE ONLY DATE BACK TO 1998.

THE RECORD PRECIPITATION FOR THE COOPERATIVE OBSERVER SITE AT LAKE
YELLOWSTONE FOR JULY 29 IS 1.30 INCHES...WHICH WAS SET IN 1913.
