...RECORD DAILY MAXIMUM PRECIPITATION SET AT LAKE YELLOWSTONE WY...

 AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE AND ITS ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT BROUGHT
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE COWBOY STATE
YESTERDAY. A RECORD PRECIPITATION OF 0.3 INCHES WAS SET AT LAKE
YELLOWSTONE WY YESTERDAY. THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 0.16 SET IN
2003. NOTE THE PRECIPITATION RECORDS FOR THE LAKE YELLOWSTONE SITE
ONLY DATE BACK TO 1998.

THE RECORD PRECIPITATION FOR THE COOPERATIVE OBSERVER SITE AT LAKE
YELLOWSTONE FOR APRIL 22 IS 0.65 INCHES...WHICH WAS SET IN 1942.
